Youth slaughtered in Kushtia

Miscreants slaughtered a young man and dumped his body in Baradi Bhagar area in Kushtia town on Friday. The dead is Masud Rana, 25, an auto-rickshaw driver and son of Ear Ali of Jugia Darga Para village of the Sadar upazila. Police and neighbours said local people found his body lying on a road in Baradi Bhagar. Informed by them, police recovered the slaughtered body of Rana from the road and sent it to Kushtia Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Family members of the deceased said Rana went out of the house with his auto-rickshaw for Bheramara upazila around 8:30pm on Thursday and did not return since then. Miscreants might have slaughtered Rana to death and snatched away his vehicle, said Abdul Khalek, officer-in-charge of Kushtia Sadar Model Police Station, according to UNB.
