Youth stabbed dead in city

A young man died and his brother was injured after being stabbed by unknown miscreants at Kamrangirchar in the city early Friday. The deceased was identified as Shamsuddin Ahmed Ajoy, 28, son of Sirajuddin of Hujurpara. Police said Ajoy and his brother Sajedul Islam Apu, 22, were stabbed indiscriminately by a group of 10-12 miscreants at Kamrangirchar Beribadh, following an altercation on their way back home at around 2:00 am, leaving Ajoy dead on the spot and Apu critically injured. Later, a patrol team of Kamrangirchar Police Station recovered Ajoy's body, and rescued Apu. — UNB
