Youth stabbed dead in Sunamganj

Miscreants stabbed to death a young man at Lalghat in Tahirpur upazila in Sunamganj district on Saturday night. The dead is Fazlu Miah, 22, a worker of Bagli coal depot and son of Abdul Kuddus, a resident of Puranghat village in the upazila. Police said, a gang of criminals swooped on Fazlu and stabbed him indiscriminately while he was returning home by a bicycle from his workplace at about 9:00 pm, leaving him dead on the spot. Locals noticed Fazlu’s body on Sunday morning and informed police who recovered and sent it to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tahirpur Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
