Youth stabbed dead over extramarital affair

A young man was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends over extramarital relationship in Mirpur Upazila in Kushita district on Friday night. The dead is Alamgir Hossain Miraj, 35, son of late Hamza Hossain of Mallikpur Kulpara village. Shahidul Islam Shaheen, officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station, said Miraj developed an extramarital relationship with the wife of his friend Kamal recently. When Kamal came to know about the incident, he called Miraj to a place near his house at about 11:30pm and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. Informed by locals, police recovered the body and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy.
