Tuesday, 1 April 2014

Miscreants strangulated a youth to death and kept his body hanging with a tree in Chuadanga town at some time between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Local people said they spotted the body of the unidentified young man, aged around 25, hanging from a tree in a mango orchard beside railway tracks near Pouro Degree College this (Tuesday) morning and informed police. The law enforcers rushed to the spot and recovered the body, bearing marks of strangulation, from the mango orchard in the morning. Police and locals suspected that the youth was killed and his body was hanged in a branch of the tree to pass the murder as suicide. Police sent the body to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Assistant Superintendent of Police Qamruzzaman said miscreants might have strangulated the young man to death and kept the body hanging with the tree, according to UNB.
