Youth succumbs to attack injuries in Magura

MAGURA, June 16 (UNB): A young man, who was injured in an attack by rivals in Sayed Atar Ali Road area of the district town on Monday, died at Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Farhad Hossain (22), son of Khairul Islam, a resident of Parla village in Sadar upazila.
Witnesses said a group of local terrorists attacked Farhad and chopped him indiscriminately following a dispute over establishing supremacy in the area at about 5:00 pm on Monday, leaving him seriously injured.
He was first admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
Later, he succumbed to his injures at the hospital at about 7:00 am on Tuesday.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Munsi Asaduzzaman confirmed the death.
A case was filed in this connection.
