Yunus terms Atlanta \\\'city of peace\\\'

Nobel Peace Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus has said that Atlanta is a city of peace. He is in Atlanta for the summit of the Nobel peace laureates. The US city has been selected to host next year's world summit of Nobel peace laureates. Addressing a gala event arranged to name the venue of the World Nobel Peace Laureates' Summit-2015, Yunus said Atlanta has a history in civil and human rights. ‘Atlanta has a great tradition of fighting for human rights. There is a heritage of peace starting with Martin Luther King, President Carter, Andrew Young and Ted Turner. This is a tradition for Atlanta, this is its heritage,’ he said. Yunus said he envisions Atlanta hosting a ‘Global March for Peace’ event, bringing participants from all countries of the world, during the Nobel Summit September 27-29, 2015, according to a news agency.
