Zafar-led JP joins 18-party alliance

Jatiya Party led by Kazi Zafar Ahmed Saturday joined the BNP-led 18-party alliance turning it into a 19-party combine.
Zafar, also a former prime minister, joined the alliance by presenting a bouquet to BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office at around 8.43 pm.
Zafar said, “From today, Jatiya Party joined the 18-party alliance. Our victory is a must.”
Earlier he entered Khaleda’s Gulshan office with several hundred leaders and activists of the party, according to a news agency.
