Zakir made board member of BAT Bangladesh****

Mr Zakir Ibne Hai has been appointed as a Director in the Board of Directors of British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited in a recent Board meeting of the company held in the city, said a press release. Mr Hai has been serving BAT Bangladesh as Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs (CORA) since 2009. He started his professional career in 1996 completing MBA from IBA, Dhaka University. He joined BAT Group in 2007 after working for subsidiaries of Reckitt Benckiser, Bayer and Axiata. Mr Hai has wide ranging senior level experience in areas of communication, regulatory and government relations, stakeholder management, marketing, media and public relations. BAT Bangladesh is listed on both the stock exchanges of the country. Government of Bangladesh and its investment arms represent 22.12 per cent shareholding apart from 11.97 per cent held by general shareholders and the rest is with BAT group. - FE Report
