Zero Covid death for 2nd day

The country witnessed zero death from Covid-19 for the second consecutive day, as no death was recorded in the last 24-hour period until Tuesday morning.
However, a total of 121 new patients were reported during the period. With the fresh cases, the total number of Covid-positive people reached 19,50,846 in the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) regular bulletin.
The country reported a total of 29,117 deaths so far, since the first Covid-19 patient was detected here in March 2020. In the last 24 hours, 1,234 people recovered from the viral disease, taking the total figure to 18,72,845.
The DGHS registered 1.11 per cent positivity rate for the period, which took the total positivity rate to 14.20 per cent.
Among the new positive cases, the highest 98 patients were reported in Dhaka division, while Mymensingh reported two, Chattogram 12, Rajshahi three, Khulna four, and Barishal and Sylhet one each.
