Zia maintains solo lead in Nat’l A Chess

GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited still maintained his solo lead in the points table of the Berger Paints National A Chess with 6.5 points after the 7th round game Sunday now being held at the Media Centre of Bangladesh Olympic Association, reports BSS.
GM Enamul Hossain of Bangladesh Navy is following the leader with 5.5 points. GM Niaz Murshed of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, Reigning champion GM Abdullah Al Rakib and FM Nasir Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy shared the 3rd position with 5 points.
In the 7th round games held Saturday, Zia beat FM Rezaul Haque of Access Group, GM Enamul split points with GM Niaz, GM Rakib beat Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan of Sonali Bank Sports & Recreation Club, FM Nasir beat CM Mahtabuddin Ahmed of Dhaka Mohammedan, IM Minhazuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy beat CM Sohel Chowdhury of Leonine Chess Club, Uten of Access Group beat Masum Hossain of Fier Service & Civil Defence and FM Debartaj Chatterjee of Titas Club split points with FM Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy.
