Zia spoils spirit of Liberation War: Hanif

LAXIMPUR, June 01 (BSS): Awami League joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif said Ziaur Rahman destroyed the spirit of Liberation War banning 'Joy Bangla' slogan and the Bangabandhu's historical 7th March speech as he came to power through the assassination of Father of the Nation.
"BNP's slogan - Let again roar the arms of 1975- proved that Ziaur Rahaman was the mastermind behind the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibir Rahman" Hanif said while addressing as the chief guest the triennial council of Chandraganj Thana unit Awami League at Hajirpara Hamidia High School ground on Wednesday afternoon.
"We have already announced a protest programme against that slogan of BNP," he added.
