Zillur expresses satisfaction at Jalil's release

Bangladesh Awami League acting president Zillur Rahman expressed satisfaction at the release of party general secretary Abdul Jalil on bail Wednesday, reports UNB.brZillur, however, said the caretaker government has lost its rights to keep other detainees in jail after the release of Tarique Rahman, the eldest son of Khaleda Zia.brZillur Rahman made the remarks when Abdul Jalil came to meet him at his Gulshan residence in the city after his release.brFollowing a writ petition filed by Abdul Jalil, the High Court Wednesday granted bail until October 20 to the AL general secretary on his surrender in a graft case.brThere cannot be any allegation against Abdul Jalil. If there is any, then it is false and fabricated, Zillur said.brZillur also announced that Abdul Jalil would start working in full swing as the party general secretary.brWhen the journalists sought comments on the probable release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, he said The enforcement of law should be equal for all.br
