Zimbabwe were 172 for five wickets after 35 overs chasing 257 against Bangladesh in the 4th one-day international (ODI) cricket match in Dhaka on Friday. Brendan Taylor made 63 and Solomon Mire 52 had held the fort for the tourists earlier in their innings at the flood-lit Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur. Timycen Maruma (6) walked back when debutant Jubair Hossain’s wrong ‘un chipped in through the bat and pad to clip the bails off. Before that Shakib struck twice in quick succession to make the early in-roads into the Africans’ batting lineup. He first trapped Vusi Sibanda (17) leg-before after he put up a 48-run opening stand with Hamilton Masakadza. The all-rounder then went through the gates of Masakadza (28) in his next over. Earlier, Bangladesh posted 256 for 8 in 50 overs, according to a new agency.
