The Fourth Zoom Chittagong ICT Fair 2010 begins February 16 for promotion of modern information technologies.
"The three-day fair will be held in Chittagong to introduce the port city to the up-to-date technologies," Kamrul Ahsan, managing director of Inpace Management Services Ltd, said at a press conference in the city Thursday.
Visitors will be able to avail themselves of special offers of Zoom at Citycell's pavilion, including lucrative start-up prices for its connections with devices, monthly data plans and voice tariff for these packages, he added.
A total of 30 stalls and 16 pavilions, including Toshiba, United Computer Centre, Acer, Microsoft and Flora Ltd, will participate in the fair.
Educational programme will also be organised to raise public awareness about ICT.
Citycell in collaboration with Samsung and Intel and Lenovo is jointly organising the fair.
The fair will remain open everyday from 10 am to 8 pm with an entry fee of Tk 10. However, students will be allowed free entrance.
Mahfuzur Rahman, director (technical and corporate affairs), and Syed Tanzin Huq, deputy general manager (marketing communications) of Citycell and Mohammad Zahirul Islam, managing director of Smart Technologies Ltd, among others, were present at the press briefing.
