State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid on Thursday said the government has drawn up a plan to generate 24,000 MW of electricity from coal by 2030. “Of this, about 6,000 MW will come within the next five years. To implement the mega plan, we need huge investment and skilled manpower,” he said while addressing a conference of diploma engineers at the city’s Biduyt Bhaban. The conference, organised by PDB Diploma Engineers Association, was addressed, among others, by PDB chairman Abduhu Ruhullah and association president AKMA Hamid, according to a news agency.
