Former advisor to the caretaker government Sultana Kamal said on Friday all citizens irrespective of caste, creed and religions, have an equal right to the state resources, reports BSS.

The former advisor said this while inaugurating the triennial conference of Mahanagar Hindu-Buddha-Christian Oikya Parishad at Gulistan Mahanagar Nattyamanch in the city.
Sultana Kamal ignited candle and hoisted the national flag at the function. Advocate Rana Das Gupta, general secretary of the Oikya Parishad, hoisted the flag of the organisation.
Oikya Parishad President Prof Dr Nim Chandra Bhowmik, Advocate Subrata Chowdhury, Dr Jinbodi Bikkhu, Advocate Rana Das Gupta, among others, spoke on the occasion.
After the independence, we are still fighting for equal rights, which are unfortunate, said the former advisor.
