‘BD, India continue to enjoy cordial relations’

Prime Minister's international affairs adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi said Tuesday Bangladesh and India will continue to enjoy cordial relations despite change of government in India, reports BSS.
"Change of government in India will not have any impact on Bangladesh . . . two countries had been enjoying good relations since Bangladesh's independence," Dr Rizvi said this while talking to journalists in Meherpur Tuesday.
He came to Mujibnagar by road from Chuadanga Tuesday. He visited Mujibnagar memorial, Bangladesh map during the War of Liberation. Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur Md Mahmud Hosain, nirbahi officer of Mujibnagar Uipazila Arun Kumar Mandol and executive engineer of Meherpur public works department Ahsan Ullah accompanied him.
Replying to a question, Dr Rizvi said all unresolved issues with India would be solved though talks.
Referring to the comments made by the Prime Minister during a public meeting in 2011 regarding setting up of a land port in Meherpur, the adviser said talks between the commerce ministers and officials of the two countries are going on in this regard.
