Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Thursday said Bangladesh will be made a hunger-free country by 2030. “The Ministry of Planning has a dream of making Bangladesh free from hunger by 2030. It’ll surely happen. I want support from all in this regard,” he said. The minister said this while addressing a national seminar titled, ‘Social protection interventions in Bangladesh: Key challenges and way forward for enhancing food security’ organised by Shouhardo-2 programme of Care Bangladesh at Cirdap International Conference Centre in the city. He further said, “Now we have to inspire all for income-generating works so that the beneficiaries can be self-reliant.” Paul Sabatine, acting mission director, USAID Bangladesh, among others, spoke on the occasion, according to a news agency.
