Friday, 17 April 2015

Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam said on Thursday BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is the barrier to create friendly environment to hold the upcoming polls to three city corporations, reports BSS.
"The law and order situation may downslide if Khaleda Zia seeks vote after visiting different city streets as there is an apprehension of facing resentment from relatives of the burn victims," he said while addressing a discussion as the chief guest.
Janotar Prottashya organised the discussion at National Press Club in the city marking the 'Historic Mujibnagar Day'.
"The BNP alliance has been hatching conspiracy to make questionable the city corporation polls and for the purpose they have engaged their oldest intellectuals to put a barrier to create friendly atmosphere for holding the polls," said Qamrul, also a joint general secretary of Dhaka City Awami League (AL).
Speaking at the discussion, publicity and publication secretary of AL Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "Khaleda Zia has no moral right to seek vote for their candidates as she had carried out indiscriminate killings with petrol bomb attacks in the last three months."
