‘BNP trying to ruin country after CC polls’

Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam said on Friday BNP is hatching a conspiracy to ruin the country as well as make it ineffective state after the upcoming city corporation (CC) elections, reports BSS.
"BNP is creating new plots to ruin the peace of the country and make it ineffective after the polls as they are known that people will not vote for them," he said.
He was speaking as the chef guest at a discussion on 'current politics' organised by Bangladesh Shadhinota Parishad at Dhaka Reporters' Unity auditorium in the city.
Former state minister for home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku, Awami League (AL) central committee member Sujit Rai Nandi, Swechchhasebak League president Molla Abu Kawsar also spoke with Bangladesh Shadhinota Parishad adviser Dr Jahangir Alam Khan in the chair.
Terming BNP 'venomous snake', the AL leader said, "People of the country will not vote for the terrorists, who unleashed countrywide violence in the name of political movement for 92 days."
