‘City commuters must have safe public toilets’

Speakers in the city Wednesday expressed concern over public sanitation system in the city, especially for the commuters, reports BSS.
They urged to construct proper sanitation facilities, primarily safe and hygienic toilets, for the commuters.
The call came at the inauguration of a new public toilet in the city's Gabtoli Bus Terminal. Dhaka North City Corporation set up the toilet with support of H&M Conscious Foundation through WaterAid Bangladesh. Senior Secretary of Local Government Division Monjur Hossain, Swedish Ambassador Anneli Lindahl Kenny, Global Manager of H&M Conscious Foundation Helena Thybell and Chairman of Janata Bank Prof Abul Barakat were present on the occasion.
