‘Ctg now more attractive investment destination’

Chittagong, the country’s commercial hub, has now become an increasingly attractive destination for investment -- both for domestic and foreign direct investment -- due to its advantageous location, says State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury. Realising the importance of Chittagong, the present government wants to do whatever is needed for the development of the port city which will ultimately put the country on a faster growth track, he said.  “Chittagong is the driving force of the economy. There’s no alternative to its further development,” Saifuzzaman said on Wednesday night while addressing a function, ‘Family Night-2014’, arranged by the Chittagong Journalists Forum, Dhaka (CJFD) in a city hotel, according to a news agency.
