‘Democratic behaviour cannot be expected from this regime’

Thursday, 8 May 2014

Terming the present government ‘undemocratic’, Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh President Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Thursday said the incidents of forced disappearance, kidnapping and killing have marked an alarming rise due to its undemocratic behaviour. He made the remarks while addressing a hunger-strike programme organised by Bangladesh Bar Council in front of the Supreme Court Bar Bhaban. The Bar Council organised the hunger strike as part its seven-day programme in protest against forced disappearances and killings across the country, including the abductions and killings of seven people in Narayanganj, according to a news agency.
