‘Everyone should raise voice against corruption’

RANGPUR, Dec 23 (BSS): Chairman of Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) Md Badiuzzaman at a views-sharing meeting here called upon everyone Tuesday to raise voice against corruption for stamping out the curse from the society.
He was addressing the meeting organised by Combined District Office of ACC at Begum Rokeya auditorium with members of Corruption Prevention Committees (CPC), Community Policing Forums (CPF) and civil society members of Rangpur division as the chief guest. President of District Corruption Prevention Committee (DCPC) Prof Mozammel Haque presided over the meeting.
Director General of ACC Dr Shamsul Arefin, Community Action Coordinator of German Development Cooperation (GIZ) Benoy Kumar Jha and Team Leader of the Vocational Training Programme of RDRS Bangladesh Nazrul Gani spoke on the occasion as special guests.
Director of the ACC Md Moniruzzaman, its Rajshahi Divisional Director Manjur Ahmmed, Private Secretary to the ACC Chairman Mokhlesur Rahman, Deputy Director of the Combined District Office of ACC Kamrul Ahsan and General Secretary of DCPC Akbar Hossain attended the function.
Presidents and General Secretaries of the upazila level CPCs, members of the CPFs, civil society members and representatives of various professional groups took part in the open discussion .
The participants asked the ACC Chairman various questions on issues like as how the common people are becoming victims of corruption, how to prevent corruption and role of ACC, CPCs, CPFs and civil society members towards the directions.
