‘Govt cannot avoid responsibility for Narayanganj murders’

Holding the government responsible for the killings of seven people in Narayanganj, Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad on Saturday said the killers must be brought to justice. “The government can’t avoid the responsibility for the seven murders in Narayanganj. The trial of the killing has to be held,” he said. Ershad, also a special envoy to the Prime Minister, was addressing a civic condolence meeting held in memory of late Narayanganj-5 MP and Jatiya Party presidium member Nasim Osman. The meeting was held at Bangabandhu Road in DIT commercial area of the city, according to a news agency.
