‘Govt focuses on renewable energy dev’

Prime Minister’s Energy Adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury on Thursday said the government is prioritising the development of renewable energy as part of a strategy to put in place an energy-mix system to create a balance in the total power generation. He said this while addressing the inauguration of a three-day international power exhibition, organised by event management firm CEMS in partnership with Rahimafrooz Group, at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) , according to a news agency.
