‘Migration cost for oversees job seekers to be made zero’

Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Monday said the government has taken steps to bring the migration cost of people seeking job abroad down to zero level. Speaking at a press briefing at the Probashi Kalyan Bhaban, the minister said all the migration costs will be provided by the employers of destination countries in the future. He noted that the issue of bringing down the migration cost to zero was also emphasised at the 7th meet of the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD), which was held at Stockholm in Sweden from May 14-16, according to a news agency.
