‘Modi govt to have greater engagement with neighbours’

Wednesday, 11 June 2014

The present Indian government will have a stronger engagement with its neighbours, including Bangladesh, as it looks forward to do more together for greater cooperation in the region, said a prominent Indian analyst in Dhaka on Wednesday. Dr C Raja Mohan, one of India’s foremost strategic thinkers and commentators, made the remark while addressing a function - BIPSS Eminent Person Lecture - on ‘Political Transition in India: What it Means for South Asia and Beyond’ held at Lakeshore Hotel in the city. Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies (BIPSS) arranged the event with its President Maj Gen (retd) ANM Muniruzzaman in the chair, according to a news agency.
