Sunday, 12 July 2015

The number of accidents on waterways has dropped in Bangladesh after the Awami League came to power, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan has claimed, reports BSS.
He came up with statistics on boat accidents while visiting the Barisal launch terminal  Saturday.
Khan said there were between 20 and 31 boat accidents every year between 2001 and 2006.
From 2009, when the Awami League came to power, there had been between five and 16 boat accidents every year, he said. There had been only two boat accidents so far this year in Bangladesh, Khan said.
