‘No letter written to anyone’

BNP leader Nazrul Islam Khan has accused Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed of trying to cover up his incompetence by raising allegations of conspiracy against Bangladesh’s RMG industry. Reacting to Tofail’s comment on Sunday, Khan said the allegation was baseless and the minister had resorted to falsehood. He outright rejected allegation of sending any letter to the US or anyone. His comments came while speaking to journalists before leaving for Geneva on Sunday. Earlier in the day, Tofail in a press briefing alleged that Nazrul Islam and former Sramik League General Secretary Roy Ramesh Chandra had sent a malicious letter to US government agencies complaining about the malpractices in Bangladesh RMG industry, according to a news agency.
