‘No plan to stop plying easy-bike’

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said in Parliament on Monday that the government has no plan to stop the plying of battery-run auto-rickshaws as these are eco-friendly. However, the government has taken the initiative to control the wastage of electricity, he said, responding to a starred question of Habibur Rahman Mollah (Dhaka-5). The state minister said that in this regard, the government has taken steps to set up solar charging stations and also taken steps to allocate money for setting up six solar charging stations as pilot project, according to a news agency.
