‘Social awareness useful tool to curb militancy’

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzaman Khan on Wednesday said social awareness is a useful tool instead of using force to curb militancy from the country. He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a meeting of the committee to curb and prevent militancy at the ministry. Ways to root out militancy and stop its spread were discussed at the meeting, the junior minister said. He said awareness should be raised from schools, colleges, mosques and madrasahs against militancy. Asaduzzaman said the vigilance of the intelligence agencies will be strengthened to uproot the menace from the society, according to a news agency.
