‘Tarique Rahman under surveillance in London’

MADARIPUR, May 3 (BSS): Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said on Sunday senior vice-chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman is under surveillance of the detectives in London.The minister came up with the observations while talking to reporters after inaugurating the Asmat Ali Khan Memorial Veteran Football Tournament in Madaripur.
"To protect the war criminals as well as themselves, BNP, Jamaat and Tarique Rahman have become desperate. They are now taking refuge in lies. They have failed miserably in creating confusion regarding the city polls," Shajahan said.
Deputy Commissioner of Madaripur GSM Jafrullah and additional superintendent of police Uttam Kumal Pal were present on the occasion, among others.
