BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed on Thursday alleged that Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) approved the submission of a charge-sheet against him and his brother in a house grabbing case ‘to assassinate his political character’. He made the allegation while addressing a briefing on the Supreme Court premises. The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) at its regular meeting on Wednesday approved the proposal for submitting the charge-sheet against Barrister Moudud Ahmed and his brother Manzur Ahmed in the graft case. Claiming every allegation of the charge-sheet ‘false and baseless’, Moudud said as per the ACC laws, an accused person has to be informed in written before bringing any allegation against him. “But, the ACC approved the charge-sheet without issuing me any notice,” according to a news agency.
