’Constn of marine drive to be completed by 2015’

Planning Minister AHM Mostofa Kamal on Saturday said the construction of marine drive along the 120-km Cox’s Bazar sea beach will be completed by 2015. He said this while inspecting the construction work on the marine drive at Cox’s Bazar sea beach. The minister also noted that the government is working on a plan to transform Cox’s Bazar as an economically thriving area by the construction of a power plant at Matarbari, Maheshkhali and a deep sea port. The government will also establish an economic zone at Kutubdia in the district, he added. Mostofa Kamal said Cox’s Bazar will become one of the most prospecting economic areas of the country, according to a PID handout, a news agency said.
