CHT Peace Accord Committee meeting held in Ctg

A meeting of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Peace Accord Implementation and Monitoring Committee was held on Sunday at the conference room of the Complex Building, Anwara, Chattogram, says a statement.
The meeting was chaired by the convener of the committee, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain.
Other participants are Supradip Chakma, adviser for Chittagong hill tract affairs, Jyotirindra Bodhipriya (Santu) Larma, chairman of the CHT Regional Council, Sudatta Chakma, chairman of the Refugee Affairs Task Force (Senior Secretary), Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, secretary, and Md. Monirul Islam, additional secretary of the Ministry of CHT Affairs, and other officials concerned of the ministry and its various agencies.
The government reconstituted this committee on January 12, 2025. Currently, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain serves as the convener.
The other members include Regional Council Chairman Jyotirindra Bodhipriya (Santu) Larma and Refugee Affairs Task Force Chairman, Sudatta Chakma.
This marks the second meeting of the committee under the interim government, following the first meeting held on July 19, 2025, in Rangamati.
During the meeting, participants emphasised the importance of the full implementation of the CHT Peace Accord.
