Lovello Ice-cream's profit up 107pc in Q2

Listed ice-cream producer Taufika Foods and Lovello Ice-cream experienced a 107.14 per cent increase in profit in the second quarter of FY26 to Tk 113.88 million, as sales increased significantly compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
In the second quarter (October-December) of FY25, the company's profit was only Tk 54.98 million.
According to the company, it performed comparatively well in the first six months of FY26. Its products gained a competitive edge and captured a larger market share from competitors during the period.
In the period ended December 2025, net profit after tax increased by 62 per cent compared to the previous financial year, as sales rose by 29 per cent year-on-year.
Diluted EPS stood at Tk 2.13 for July-December 2025, whereas the EPS was Tk 1.38 for July-December 2024.
Profit was Tk 209.11 million in July-December 2025, increased from Tk 135.48 million in the same period of the previous year.
Diluted net operating cash flow per share was Tk 4.48 for July-December 2025, compared to Tk 1.78 for July-December of the previous year.
Diluted NAV per share stood at Tk 12.52 as of December 2025, up from Tk 12.01 as of June 2025.
Meanwhile, the share price of the company declined by 1.54 per cent to Tk 70.10 per share on Sunday on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
