PM orders swift action over coarse rice price hike

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed the concerned ministries and authorities to take immediate action against the price hike of coarse rice- a staple food for marginal people, reports BSS.
"Yesterday, when news of an increase in the retail price of coarse rice- a staple food for marginal people- came to the attention of Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, he directed the relevant ministries and authorities to take quick action," Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said Tuesday.
He said that the positive impact of the instruction was observed in the market.
