The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has suspended four individuals, including cricketer Amit Majumdar, over allegations of breaching anti-corruption regulations during the BPL 2025-26 season, reports bdnews24.com.
The charges include corrupt conduct, involvement in betting activities, non-cooperation with anti-corruption investigations, and obstruction of inquiry proceedings, based on findings by the BCB Integrity Unit. The other accused are Chattogram Royals logistics manager Lablur Rahman, Sylhet Titans manager Rezwan Kabir Siddique, and Noakhali Express co-owner Towhidul Haque.
All four have been placed under temporary suspension and instructed to respond to the allegations within 14 days of receiving the notices.
Amit Majumdar has never played a BPL match but featured in the Under-19 World Cups in 2008 and 2010. Despite a long domestic career, he never broke into the national team.
The 35-year-old left-handed batter has played 58 first-class matches, 99 List A games, and six T20s. He currently represents Rupganj Tigers in the Dhaka Premier League and played against Gazi Group Cricketers on the day of his suspension.
