College student stabbed by mugger in Rajshahi dies

RAJSHAHI, Oct 03 (UNB): A college student who was injured in an attack by snatcher on September 17 succumbed to his injuries at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Tuesday.
The dead, Nishad Akram (24), was a third-year student of Statistics Department of Rajshahi College. He hailed from Niamatpur upazila of Naogaon.
On September 17, when Nishad was returning to his mess after taking care of his ailing friend at RMCH he was attacked by a snatcher in front. The snatcher hit him on the head and snatched his mobile phone set and money, leaving him injured.
Locals rescued him and admitted him to RMCH.
His cousin filed a case with Boalia thana.
