Indian envoy visits police academy

RAJSHAHI, July 22 (BSS): Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das visited Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah of the district on Monday.
She also visited the academy's Bangladesh-India Friendship Building funded by the government of India which houses the cyber-crime and IT-training facilities of the academy.
The Indian envoy was received by Additional Inspector General of Police and Principal of the Bangladesh Police Academy Md Nazibur Rahman.
Riva also addressed trainees of the academy.
Later, the Indian High Commissioner has visited Varendra Research Museum
of Rajshahi University (RU) where she was received by the university's vice- chancellor Professor Abdus Sobhan.
During the visit to Museum, the envoy expressed her willingness to further increase cooperation regarding arts and culture between the two friendly neighbouring countries.
Riva was accompanied by Indian Assistant High Commissioner in Rajshahi Sanjeev Kumar Bhati and second secretary (visa and consular) Vishal Jyoti Das.
