UCB LAUNCHES COUNTRY'S FIRST OPEN API BANKING SERVICES

United Commercial Bank (UCB) has launched the first open API-based banking system in Bangladesh. With this initiative, the bank will be able to provide modern, convenient, and technology-driven services to a larger number of customers simultaneously. Globally-renowned tech company Oracle has introduced this service in only 25 countries. The announcement was made at a programme on Tuesday at the bank's head office in the capital. Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, UCB's managing director and CEO, and Md. Abdullah Al Mamoon, UCB's deputy managing director and chief operating officer, spoke at the event.
