UCB-SME Foundation agreement to provide 8 pc interest loans for small industries

United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC has partnered with the SME Foundation at a city hotel recently. Under this participation agreement, CMSME entrepreneurs will be able to access loans at a competitive 8 per cent interest rate. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, MD of the SME Foundation, and Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, MD and CEO of UCB, represented their respective organisations. Industries Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir attended the event as the chief guest. Md. Obaidur Rahman, Chairman of the SME Foundation, was also present.
