The 10th round matches of the 12-team Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) will begin at different venues across the city today (Sunday), reports BSS.
Top six teams in the point table will move into the elite phase where the points of the group phase will be carried. However, so far three teams - Abahani Limited, Legends of Rupganj and Prime Bank Cricket Club confirmed their spot, leaving the three spots up for grab.
Abahani Limited and Rupganj have identical 16 points while Prime Bank collected 14 points after the ninth round of the league.
Prime Doleshwar with 12 points are in the advantageous position to seal the super league spot as the fourth team. They can confirm it today (Sunday) when they will take on Uttara Sporting Club at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will face off BKSP in their day's other match at BSKP-4 ground.
Uttara are languishing at the bottom table with four points and a victory is much needed for them to prevent them from being relegated.
Khelaghar Samaj Kallayan Samity and Brothers Union also have four points like Uttara.
The last three teams will play relegation league amongst which the bottom two teams will be relegated to the First Division Cricket. BKSP with five points are also in danger to be relegated.
The other three matches of the 10th round, the penultimate round of the group phase, will be held tomorrow (Monday). Those three matches will also be crucial as most of the teams will give at a shot for the super league spot.
