7th round of BCL football begins today

The seventh round of the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL), the country's second-tier professional football competition, begins today (Sunday) after the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday with three matches scheduled at different venues in the capital and its adjoining areas, reports BSS.

On the day, Arambagh Krira Sangha will take on PWD Sports Club at Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground in the capital and Little Friends Club will meet Uttar Baridhara Club at Fortis ground while Dhaka Rangers Football Club will face BFF Elite Football Academy at Shaheed Batkat Stadium in Gazipur.

All the matches will kick off at 2.45 pm.

The remaining seventh-round matches will be held tomorrow (Monday). City Club will meet Wari Club at the Bashundhara Kings Arena practice ground, while BRTC Sports Club will face old Dhaka outfit Farashganj Sporting Club at the Fortis Ground.

After the sixth round, Arambagh Krira Sangha currently dominated the league with 18 points while PWD following the leaders with 13 points.

Little Friends Club stood seventh position in the league table with five points while Uttra Baridhara Club remained bottom of the table with two points.

BFF Elite Football Academy stood third position in the league table with 11 points while Dhaka Rangers Club placed fifth position in the league table with eight points. City Club stood fourth position in the league table with nine points while Wari Club placed ninth position in the table with four points.

BRTC Sports Club stood seventh position in the league table.
