CHATTOGRAM, Aug 04: Mr Diamond of Dhaka Club Ltd became champions defeating M Jobery of Q&Ub by 7-3 games in the 33rd A&J National Snooker Championship 2018.
The final event was held at the Chittagong Club Ltd on August 02.
The tournament began on July 23.
The prize-giving ceremony of the 33rd A&J National Snooker Championship, organised jointly by Chittagong Club Ltd and Bangladesh Billiard Federation, concluded on Thursday night at Club Hall.
Presided over by Chittagong Club chairman Mian Md Abdur Rahim the event was addressed as chief guest by Brigadier General Asif Ahmed Ansary (NDC, PSC) , Station Commander of Chittagong Cantonment.
It was addressed as special guests by Bangladesh Billiards Snooker Federation secretary Syed Mahbub, joint secretary Col (rtd) Ruhul Amin, senior official of the title sponsor A&J Group and director of Bangladesh Cricket Board Akram Khan, owner of Bridgestone, co-sponsor of the event, Raquibur Rahman and representative of Meghna Group, also co-sponsor, Sharif bin Yusuf.
SM Shafiul Azam of the Chittagong Club executive committee (snooker) delivered the welcome address and thanked all for participating in the event.
Chittagong Club vice chairman Al Sadat Dobhash Sagar and executive members Javed Hashem Nannu, Salauddin Ahmed, Imran Ahmed, Rumana Hayat, Dr Alak Nandi, Advocate Sabrina Chowdhury, Zahed Sultan Tipu, Sultanul Abedin Chowdhury and snooker convener Nuruddin Zahed, along with their families, attended the prize-giving ceremony.
