Anamul earns recall as BCB announces squad for 2nd Test

Opener Anamul Haque returned to the Test squad after three years as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad for the second Test against Zimbabwe which starts at Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram from April 28, reports Cricbuzz.
There are two changes from the squad that played the first Test. Anamul, who is in tremendous form in the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, has earned a recall having also recently become the first batter from the country to score 50 centuries in recognised cricket. The 32-year old had last played a Test in 2022.
The other change came in the form of
Nahid Rana being replaced by uncapped left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam. Rana is expected to feature for Peshwar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League. Bangladesh opted to drop opener Zakir Hasan, who didn't feature in the opening Test.
