The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) kept the 'A' team's camp under focus, considering the upcoming Asia Cup, reports BSS.
Cricket operations chairman Nazmul Abedin Fahim hinted that their performances could influence the final squad for the Asia Cup T20, scheduled for September in Dubai.
"There are players here who can play in the Asia Cup," Fahim told the reporters on Friday. 'The entire thing will depend on the selectors though. I am not sure but maybe one or two names might be there."
The BCB in fact is closely monitoring High Performance camp also to unearth future players, Fahim said.
"We are seeing future players especially. We hope that from here we will get some players who might replace those currently in the national team, and the national team will become stronger."
According to Fahim, the standout performance always has the final say even though the selectors used to have a core squad in mind for any tournament.
The Bangladesh A team will play a Top End T20 series in Australia, scheduled to start from August 14. The tournament also features big bash teams, Nepal national team and Pakistan A team.
"Any exceptional performance never goes unnoticed. The selectors will surely notice that.
But at the moment, they surely already have in mind what the national team will look like for the Asia Cup," the veteran cricket organizer and coach said.
