Bangladesh face UAE in Bangamata Gold Cup football opener tomorrow

Bangladesh U-19 women's football team will take on United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the opening match of the Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup Football to be held tomorrow (Monday) at Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, reports BSS.

The match will kick off at 6 pm.

On the following day on Tuesday, Tajikistan will play against Mongolia in the group A fixture. Bangladesh which pitted in group B of the tournament will play their second and last group match against Kyrgyzstan on April 24.

Tajikistan, Mongolia and Laos are drawn in group A while Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates and Kyrgyzstan are pitted in group B.

The semifinals of the tournament will be held on April 29 and 30 while the final is slated on May 03 after a two-day break.

Meanwhile, Tajikistan were the first team to arrive in the city on Friday night to take part in the Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup 2019, reports BSS.

Then Mongolia arrived in Dhaka in the early hours of Saturday while United Arab Emirates (UAE) also arrived in the capital.

Laos arrived Saturday afternoon while Kyrgyzstan will be the last team to arrive in the city today (Sunday) morning.

The first ever Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup 2019 will be held from April 22 to May 03 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.

Six U-19 women's teams, including Bangladesh will compete in the tournament.
